About The Artist
Eoghan Fynes b. 2000
Eóghan Fynes is a contemporary seascape painter from and living and working in Rush Co, Dublin on Irelands East coast. He has been painting on and off for many years since the age of 6 when he got his first art set one Christmas but only recently took it up as a full time hobby. His bold technique and style is created using a range of palette knifes and large brushes.
The mediums he currently uses are Georgian Oils and Windsor and Newton Professional Acrylics . He focusses a lot on his use of colour as he finds colour is the strongest point in his paintings and helps to create an atmosphere and adds emphasis to the name behind the painting. Eóghan, since starting Eoghan Fynes Art has taken part in numerous small local exhibitions in Rush and has sold a number of his works through these exhibits.
"I love painting and I particularly love my process and style due to the freedom I have when using a palette knife. I enjoy not having to be precise in details, yet still be able to create an image that looks like what it's supposed to by getting the basic shapes."

EOGHAN FYNES - IRISH ARTIST
OUR STUDIO
In 2018 I was given the garage at my family home to convert into a new studio. I am really lucky to have my studio based in Irelands East Coast in Rush North County Dublin. surrounded by fields and green belts which provide a wealth inspiration for my paintings. My studio is only 20 minute walk from the 19th century Martello tower Drumanagh (Irish - Droim Meánach).
I had previously been working in a 2 x 1.6 m space, now I work in a 3 x 3 m space and the extra speck is a dream. I can now store work and work on numerous paintings at once thanks to a large wall easel.
